Functional myodiagnostics (FMD)
FUNCTIONAL MYODIAGNOSTICS (FMD) IS A HOLISTIC MEDICAL METHOD.
It enables doctors to detect and treat even hidden causes of illness. FMD can only be learned and practiced by practitioners with a medical degree. It should therefore not be confused with lay "kinesiology".
FMD is based on the principle that the functional state of the nervous system is also expressed in the skeletal muscles, which move and stabilize our body. This requires highly complex coordination skills that involve not only the muscles, but almost all structures in the nervous system.
By testing various muscles, the trained examiner can obtain clues about functional disorders in the body and search for their probable cause. These disorders can be structural in nature, affecting muscles and joints. But they can also be biochemical, for example, triggered by a metabolic problem, allergies or environmental toxins. Emotional causes such as stress, psychological trauma and the like can also be identified as underlying disorders.
Here, FMD can build a bridge between topics from different medical disciplines that only make sense when viewed as a whole. In this way, connections can be made that lead to the right therapy for each individual.
SLANTED POSTURE AND INCORRECT STRAIN ARE ALWAYS AN EXPRESSION OF DISTURBED MUSCLE CONTROL
FMD offers the possibility of visualizing this muscle control and finding the cause of the malfunction. Sometimes an inflamed tooth can be the cause of a slipped disc or an old scar can be the cause of a migraine. Functional myodiagnostics can be used to identify such connections and direct diagnosis and treatment specifically to the causes.
